VA0ESOL   VAILL-ESOL

The Northern Virginia Institute for Lifelong Learning (NOVA-VAILL) English for Speakers of Other Languages conference will take place on July 29-30, 2009 at George Mason University's Fairfax Campus. At the conference this year, participants will be able to attend two sessions that will contribute to gaining Level 1 certification of the Virginia Adult Educator Certification Program (VAECP). Session 1 will cover the Field of Adult ESOL, Second Language Acquisition, Content Standards, and Assessment.
Session 2 will cover Curricula, Textbook Evaluation, Distance Learning, and Other Technology-supported Learning.

Professionals from across Virginia will gather to network, share ideas, and get the most up-to-date information on working with adult learners. Eligible participants are those who work for a program that receives funding from the State of Virginia Department of Education.
