Have you been struggling to get your story on paper, or do you have an early draft and need help to make it resonate? Students should try to bring 15 copies of their fiction or nonfiction (up to 15 double-spaced pages), or poetry (up to three poems) to the first class. They will be distributed to students and the instructor and a critique schedule set. Students will be asked to read and annotate the work at home and come to class ready to critique. At the first class the teacher will discuss some of the important points of critiquing. Brief writing excercises will be part of each class and a short assignment will be due after each of the third and seventh classes. 8 sessions @ 2 hrs. each. |
