Legal Assistant Preparation
Join this responsible and lucrative profession. Examine legal field and specific areas of law, including civil litigation, wills and trusts, family law, criminal law, bankruptcy, and real estate. Study legal office procedures, write briefs, process legal documents, check citations, hold mock court and manage demands of law firm culture. This professional level course requires English proficiency. Course certificate awarded. 10 sessions @ 3 hrs each.

Phlebotomy Training Program
Perform venipunctures competently and safely. Includes terminology, collection procedures, and hands-on laboratory practice. Eligible for national certification exam. Current TB test and Hepatitis B vaccine documentation due first week of class. Call 703-658-1225 for detailed information about course and clinical hours. HS diploma or GED not required to take course, but required for national certification exam. No tuition waivers. 30 sessions @ 3 hrs each.

Veterinary Assistant Program--Part I
Interested in or already working in a small-animal veterinary office? Learn basic terminology, body systems, common diseases and lab procedures along with basic animal nursing. Off-site observation at two animal hospitals to view variety of responsibilities of vet assistants. Textbooks recommended but not required. 20 sessions @ 2.5 hrs each.

Learn strategies that can help you organize a family meeting, manage family dynamics, recruit the right people to assist, and protect your assets before a crisis occurs. Taught by Michael and Laura Pierce, certified senior advisors, who bring expertise and their resource list to this interactive class. 1 session @ 1.5 hrs each.

Be comfortable around people and make them comfortable around you. Present yourself with polish through practical knowledge of introductions, attire, conversations, dining, cocktail conduct, and more. Gain people's trust and be a success in social and business circles. 1 session @ 3 hrs.

Floral Design 1--Beginning
Study the principles and elements of good design: Unity, color, balance, proportion, scale, line, depth, space, texture and form. You will learn how to select, care for and handle various flowers and foliage for optimum results. Create a different fresh arrangement each week to take home. Bring floral shears to class. 5 sessions @ 3 hrs each.

Explore digital video production using MS Movie Maker. Use storyboard and timeline to layout video. Edit video clips and add audio. Add titles, captions, credits and transitions to spice up your video. Discuss video capture. 2 sessions @ 3 hrs each.

Italian 001 for Travelers
Survival language skills will help you make the most of your trip to Italy. Emphasis is on traveler's vocabulary. 10 sessions @ 2 hrs each.
